If you own the Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker Instant Pot you'll want to check the 4 digit batchcode located at the bottom right of the label.

Instant Pot released a warning via email a couple weeks ago to registered owners and posted a warning on their Facebook Page last week.

The Gem 65 has had multiple complaints of overheating and causing melting on the bottom of the pot.

At this time, Instant Pot believes the issue is only effecting batchcodes 1728, 1730, 1731, 1734, and 1746.

"We want you to know that we take any problem with our products extremely seriously as safety and quality are our primary concern, and we are working cooperatively with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)," said the company in an online statement.

Instant Pot has not yet issued a recall but is warning users not to use the product until the company can replace the existing Multicooker.

"We anticipate providing updated information and next steps regarding receiving a replacement Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker within the next few weeks."
