Airdrie, Rocky View County, and provincial COVID numbers have changed over the past three days.

Over the weekend, combining Friday through Sunday, Alberta Health Services identified 1,125 new cases of COVID-19 from 21,888 tests. This brings the provincial total of active COVID-19 cases to 5,311. Before the weekend, there were 5,293 active cases in Alberta.

The new cases identified over the weekend are as follows:

  • Friday, November 19: 470 new cases
  • Saturday, November 20: 386 new cases
  • Sunday, November 21: 269 new cases

There are now 463 Albertans in the hospital due to COVID-19 with 98 Albertans in intensive care. Heading into the weekend, these numbers were 496 and 93 respectively.

In the City of Airdrie, there are currently 80 active cases of COVID-19. The number of active cases in Airdrie before the weekend was 79.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Rocky View County is 64. This is a small increase from before the weekend when the county had 63 active cases.

To date, the province has administered 6,796,955 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine with 88.4% of eligible Albertans having received one dose and 83.2% of eligible Albertans fully vaccinated with two doses. Health Canada has approved Pfizer vaccines for children aged 5 to 11.
