Two local lacrosse teams will be out to have a good start to the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League playoffs today (July 22nd).

In what could be a tight series, the Rocky View Knights open up their Senior "B" Division series against the Edmonton Warriors at home this weekend.

The Knights finished second in the division with a 13 and 5 record while the Warriors were just two points back at 12 and 6.  The best of five series gets underway this afternoon at 5:00 pm at the Plainsman Arena in Airdrie with game two set for the same venue tomorrow at 4:00 pm.

The third and fourth games (if necessary) will be played next Friday and Saturday in St. Albert.  If a fifth game is required it will go back in Airdrie on Sunday, July 30th.

The winner of the series will play the winner of the St. Albert Miners - Calgary Mountaineers series.

The Senior "C" South playoffs are a best of three featuring the Airdrie Mohawks hosting the Lethbridge Pioneers.

The Mohawks go into the series after an unbeaten, 15 and 0 regular season.  The Pioneers were second in the South division with a 7 and 8 record.

Game one is tonight at 8:00 pm at the Plainsman with the second game tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 pm at the arena.  If the teams split the first two games, a 10 minute mini game will be played immediately following game two to decide the series.

The winner will play the victor of the series between the Vermilion Rage and Edmonton Warriors.
