Airdrie RCMP were on the scene in Rocky View County. They were asking the public to avoid the area of Highway 566 and Range Road 13 as they investigated a serious collision.

 

At approximately 1:30 PM Airdrie RCMP and emergency services responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a minivan at the intersection of Hwy 566 and Range Road 13 West of Balzac. The driver of the motorcycle, a 39 year-old male was transported by STARS to hospital with serious, life threatening injuries.

 

The investigation into the cause of the collision is continuing with assistance of an RCMP Collision Analyst and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
