On October 20,  members of Airdrie's Crime Reduction Unit and the Calgary Police Service arrested a Calgary male in relation to him having violated the terms of a release order.

The male was found in an Airdrie residence contrary to his conditions.

Further investigation found this male was responsible for two Airdrie break-ins to commercial businesses.

On September 22, 2023, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Tost entered two commercial businesses in the MacKenzie Way commercial complex.

The male gained access by breaking the windows. In both cases, a small amount of cash was taken.

  • Break and Enter x 2
  • Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000
  • Fail to comply with a release order

Tost is next scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on October 31.

The Airdrie RCMP would like to thank residents who assisted with the investigation and to remind residents to exercise caution when purchasing items online.
