It looks like we will have a shift in weather for this three-day weekend.

Justin Shelley, a Weather Preparedness Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada talked about how cooler temperatures will be here for the weekend.

"For the start of the weekend, it will actually be a bit below normal for this time of year. This upper pattern that's going to be over western Canada is going to also produce a bit of unsettled conditions through southern Alberta."

According to Shelley, Airdrie could see some rain throughout the weekend.

"It does look like Monday is going to be your best day in terms of weather to get out and about."

When it comes to snow, we shouldn't see any this weekend in Airdrie, but Shelley did mention you could have a surprise if you head to the mountains.

"if you are going to be heading west (Banff, Lake Louis), especially at higher elevations, some of that precipitation will likely fall as snow."

The normal for this time of year is around 16 degrees, Saturday and Sunday have highs of around 12 degrees, while Monday jumps back up to 17 degrees.
