The Airdrie Tornadoes Floor Hockey team is all smiles after taking part in an invitational tournament for the Special Olympics in Edmonton.

Airdrie joined teams from Central Alberta, Edmonton, Grand Prairie and St. Albert in the Floor Hockey Tournament held on November 25th, which also featured a game between Special Olympics athletes and Alumni from the Edmonton Oilers.

The Tornadoes played three games in the tournament, winning one and dropping two.

Their first game was a dominating 6-2 win over the Edmonton Cougars, preparing them well for their next game against the Red Deer Rockets.

Red Deer proved too much for the Tornadoes however, dropping a 15-2 decision.

In their final game, the Tornadoes gave it everything they had, but fell short in an 11-4 defeat to the Strathcona Thunder.
