Airdrie country music stars Brandon Lorenzo and the band Flaysher have each received two nominations for the Country Music AB Awards.

To receive these nominations, Lorenzo and Faysher had to go through multiple rounds of voting. These are the categories Lorenzo has been nominated for:

  • Horizon Male Artist of the Year
  • Fans Choice

Airdrie band Flaysher received two nominations for the Horizon Group/Duo and Community Spirit Award.

"Just to be nominated and to be recognized for what's going on lately is pretty cool, it feels really good," stated Lorenzo.

While still looking for his first Country Music AB award win, he stated it would be a pretty special win for him.

"Especially in your home province, getting an award win like this would be pretty cool and something to always remember."

Lorenzo has a total of 10 Country Music AB Awards nominations in his career.

While already booking shows into September, Lorenzo stated he will be releasing new music soon and also has a pretty big announcement in the coming days.

Lorenzo will be performing at Bert Church Theatre on February 15 to a sold-out crowd.

At last year's Country Music AB Awards, Lorenzo was nominated for Horizon Male Artist of the Year, Horizon Single of the Year for "You Set The Bar,"  Songwriter of the Year for "You Set The Bar" and Music Video of the Year for "Another Round Of You."

Flaysher garnered three nominations last year, including Horizon Group or Duo of the Year, Fans’ Choice, and Songwriter(s) of the Year for their song "Good For You".
