Rocky View basketball resumed this week after the exam break, and there are only a few more games left for each team.

Bert Church Chargers senior boys head coach Mike Sera looked back on the first portion of the season and has been impressed with how his team has played.

"For the first half of the season, we played well. We played some tough games, especially very early in the season, and we competed with them."

The Chargers are currently 4-1 after a win last night against the Chestermere Lakers. The sole loss came at the hands of rivals George McDougall, which disappointed Sera.

Now that the season has resumed, his sights are on the upcoming playoffs. As the team plays their final games, Sera says the goal remains the same.

"Every game, our goal is to improve throughout the whole game at both ends of the floor, offensively and defensively. Our systems are in play, we may make a tweak here and there, but for the most part, it's now just perfecting what we've learnt."

Sera says the goal all along has been to stay provincially ranked, do well in Divisionals as well as Zones and make it to Provincials.
