Cochrane RCMP are looking for assistance to locate Corey Boudreau, who is wanted in connection to a stolen 2004 Ford F250.

The owner had his truck stolen after meeting up with the suspect who intended to buy the vehicle. Police say Boudreau then test drove the vehicle and never returned.

The truck was later recovered by Cochrane RCMP in McLean Creek on Monday April 20th after they received a call from the truck's owner who had located the vehicle and Boudreau.

RCMP say a scuffle then ensued between the suspect and the truck's owner at the scene.

"During the incident Mr. Boudreau fled into the woods," says Sergeant Jeff Campbell, Rural Operations with Cochrane RCMP. "At the scene there was not only the stolen F250, there was several other stolen vehicles, a stolen trailer, several stolen quads."

RCMP later looked inside the stolen trailer where they arrested a Calgary woman, Chasey Thomas.

"She was arrested and charged for possession of stolen property," adds Sgt. Campbell. "This investigation is ongoing because there was numerous pieces of stolen property that was located inside that trailer and also outside so further charges will be pending."

Campbell says searched the area with police dogs but did not find the suspect and believe that he may have been picked up from the scene.

"We have issued warrants out for Corey Boudreau for possession of stolen property over $5,000 as well as escape of lawful custody and also several breaches."

Boudreau is described by Cochrane RCMP as a 45 year old Caucasian male, 6 feet tall, 174 pounds with brown hair, hazel eyes and glasses who was last seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

"He is well known to police, he has a long criminal history of property related crimes with stolen vehicles and trailers being his forte so with that in mind we remind people to be very vigilant as to suspicious people inside the neighbourhood."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cochrane RCMP or Crimestoppers if they see of know where Corey Boudreau is.
