According to Michael Bourgon, the Manager of Emergency and Fire Services for Wheatland County, emergency crews received a call at approximately 6:12 a.m. on Wednesday morning alerting crews to a fire at the Beiseker Level-Land Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located east of Beiseker.

Four fire departments responded, including the Rockyford Fire Department, Dalum Fire Department, Rosebud Fire Department, as well as the Wheatland West County Fire Department.

"Upon arrival, the structure was fully involved, so, we went to defensive operations and the total loss to the structure," Bourgon said.

When asked if police are involved in the investigation, Bourgon said that at this time he could only confirm that a fire investigation was underway but would not elaborate further. He added that there were no injuries.

News of the fire spread quickly on local social media pages, with many Beiseker residents lamenting the loss.

"My grandparents homesteaded there and built that church before they built their own house. My heart is broken," one commenter wrote.
