It has just been announced that 'My Life With The Walter Boys' will be returning for a second season.

The first season that is now on Netflix was filled in a variety of locations including Crossfield and Cochrane.

It has not been released where the second season will be filmed as of yet.

My Life with the Walter Boys is a 10-episode teen drama that stars Rodriguez as 15-year-old Jackie Howard. Howard makes the bold move from metropolitan Manhattan with her family guardian to Colorado to live with the Walter family after a tragedy. The series revolves around Rodriguez's character who navigates her new home and new reality as well as her budding feelings for two very different boys in her life - the Walter brothers.

On Wednesday, December 6, the stars of the show walked the red carpet at a special screening in Calgary's Eau Claire Market. Cast members include Nikki Rodriguez (On My Block), Ashby Gentry (Are You Afraid of the Dark), Noah LaLonde (Criminal Minds), and Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) were in attendance, joined by Executive Producer, Ed Glauser and Producer, Chad Oakes.

“I am beyond thrilled that My Life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for a second season. We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that the audience has given the show and can’t wait to dive back into the world of Silver Falls and the lives of these characters,” stated Executive Producer Melanie Halsall.

The series has amassed 20.3 million views reaching the top 10 in 88 countries.

“The saying It takes a village couldn’t be more true as it pertains to the success of My Life with the Walter Boys. From Ali Novak's original novel, brilliantly adapted by Melanie Halsall, to our wonderful cast who brought her characters to life, and Netflix’s steadfast commitment, we’re thrilled to continue Jackie’s journey with season two."

The novel has over 80 million reads. The series debuted on December 7th, 2023.
