EMS confirmed that the individual who died in a two-vehicle collision east of Airdrie on Friday afternoon was a woman, though her age is unknown. 

EMS said that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the other vehicle, a semi-truck, was not injured and refused medical attention at the scene.

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Friday, April 14, Airdrie RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 567. The collision shut down a portion of the highway between Range Road 285 and Range Road 291 for several hours as police and emergency crews attended the scene. 

The highway reopened late on Friday evening. 

An RCMP Collision Analyst was also assisting with the investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
