The Calgary Flames are on a roll, but they're not rolling in the right direction.

Last night (March 26) the Flames hosted the Winnipeg Jets in the first of another important three-game stint.  Calgary is currently in sixth place in the North Division, two points back of the Vancouver Canucks who Calgary has two games in hand over.  However, the Flames trail fourth-place Montreal by four points and the Habs have played four fewer games since they've missed their last few waiting out COVID-19 protocols.

So, to sum things up, Calgary needs some wins and last night, they didn't get one.

Three Winnipeg players had a goal and an assist to pace the Jets to a 3 - 2 win to hand the Flames their fourth consecutive loss.  Blake Wheeler had two points and scored Winnipeg's opening goal.  Kyle Connor also picked up two points, including a goal, with Paul Stastny also contributing a pair, firing the winning goal for the Jets in the third period.

Milan Lucic and Matthew Tkachuk scored for the Flames who are now two games under .500.

The two teams meet again tonight at 8:00 pm in the Saddledome and wrap up the series in Calgary on Monday night.
