You may want to take advantage of the prices at the pumps today as gas prices are expected to rise this week.

The average retail gas prices in Alberta has dropped 0.4 c/L ibn the past week averaging out to 108.66 c/L.

This is a huge change compared to the same time last year were on average prices at the pumps were roughly twenty cents higher.

According to Dan Mcteague, Senior Petroleum Analyst with Gas Buddy says the incoming increase at the pumps is due to situations taking place in America.

"The downing of a U.S surveillance drone on Wednesday in the Persian Gulf and a refinery fire at a critical plant in Philadelphia on Friday lifted gas prices for most Canadians.

Central Alberta is expected to see the price at the pumps rise by roughly three cents.
