Health Canada has issued a warning to parents to stop using the Rojada Child Safety Seats immediately as they could increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision.

The advisory was issued on Wednesday, September 20, with Health Canada stating that the product - Rojada Auto Child Safety Seat Mat Simple Car Portable Seat Belt, Strong Car Seat Covers for Children & Baby Car Seats, for Toddler, Baby, Short People (Coffee, Big), which was sold on Amazon.ca does not display Transport Canada's National Safety Mark and therefore has not been certified to meet the safety requirements of the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations.

"The product has been removed from sale online from the Amazon.ca website. Health Canada has contacted the foreign third-party sellers and is advising consumers to immediately stop using the affected child safety seats."

Amazon reported that 99 units of the affected product were sold in Canada, however, to date, no incidents or injuries related to this product have been reported to Health Canada.

Consumers are urged to safely dispose of the product in such a way that it cannot be used again.
