Driving conditions have left some Airdronians worried after the snowfall last night.

According to reports, roadways in and around Airdrie are partly snow-covered or icy in some spots.

The QEII northbound of Airdrie is smooth sailing until the Red Deer area where it becomes snow and ice-covered in some areas, southbound is good until you get to Calgary according to 511 Alberta. Secondary routes like Highway 567 and Big Hill Springs Road are partly snow-covered with some ice.

Most of the major routes in and around Calgary are in the same boat, snow or ice-covered in some areas.

Please make sure you are driving to the conditions of the road as they could change very fast.

Airdrie is forecasted to see periods of snow until this afternoon. Tonight and into tomorrow the temperature is forecasted to drop as the nighttime lows will be in the -20 degree range or lower. The snow is expected to start back up again Tuesday evening.
