Highway re-opens north of Airdrie after collision

After a brief closure of the QEII, north of Airdrie due to a multi-vehicle collision, RCMP informed the public the roads were re-opened.

However, Mounties cautioned that there may be residual traffic delays and congestion for some time.

Earlier reports by police indicated that there were minor injuries in the collision. There was no information immediately available as the cause of the collision.

Over the weekend a similar highway closure occurred north of the city due to a semi-trailer roll-over. That highway closure was also very brief.
