Airdrie residents are in for a treat again this year when the CP Holiday Train pays a visit to the city in December.  

Canadian Pacific has just announced the schedule for the train which will depart Montreal on November 27th then head west through Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta before winding up its trip in Port Coquitlam, B.C. on December 18th.

On the train's way through Alberta, it will make a stop in Didsbury which is scheduled for 3:50 pm on December 11th before it makes its way to Airdrie for a visit to Nose Creek Park.

The stop is scheduled for 5:30 pm and will last for over an hour with the entertainment scheduled between 5:45 and 6:45 pm.  Airdrie residents taking it in will hear from the likes of country star Terri Clark, Sierra Noble, and Kelly Prescott.  

From Airdrie, the train heads for Cochrane on December 13th for a stop at 2:45 pm.  Cochranites will hear musical performances from the Sam Roberts Band, Prescott and Tracy Brown.

The train will once again be collecting food at all stops that will be donated to local food banks.  Since the launch of the Holiday Train in 1999, its raised more than $14.5 million in cash and gathered 4.3 million pounds of food for communities along its route.
