Yesterday (July 21) the Airdrie Irish hosted their Fourth Annual "Real Men Wear Pink" game in support of Breast Cancer research.

The Irish faced the Grande Prairie Drillers for the second time this season.  The first time the two met, the Irish came away with a 14 - 9 victory in their season opener.  It was just as tight a defensive struggle yesterday only this time the Drillers scored a 19 - 8 win.

Tyler Langlais was strong on the defensive side of the ball for the Irish, racking up a couple of sacks.  James Balsdon had the only touchdown for Airdrie.

The loss drops the Irish to 2 and 5 this season.  The team has another bye this week before they host the Lloydminster Vandals in their final regular season game, Saturday, August 11th.
