Airdrie's Stephen McPhee had a chance to share his new passion with the local Member of Parliament.

Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards toured the workshop at the McPhee house where Stephen has been making custom cutting boards and charcuterie boards for the past few months.

The boards use a variety of local and imported wood products, many delivered from local business Windsor Plywood.

McPhee said creating these boards gives him a great sense of joy.

"It gives me something to do, it allows me to be a lot more creative and it's just enjoyable because I enjoy making things. We sometimes have five or six boards just flying out the door. Kind of crazy to see how much people like them."

it to the Calgary area.

"I'm really glad to see our political leaders are able to get out and meet with people across the country again. It does appear that when you look at the announcements and the various things that Trudeau and his cabinet are doing right now that they're certainly heading towards an election very quickly."
