The Pete Knight Memorial Arena is in need of renovations. Part of the cost associated will be covered by a charity hockey game Anderson is organizing, October 15th, which local VIPs will bump elbow pads with Flames Alumni. While the money raised is important, Mayor Anderson says its about bringing the community together.

The game will feature local VIPs including Mayor Anderson, Airdrie Mayor Peter Brown, MP Blake Richards, and MLA Rob Anderson. Former Flames confirmed for the game are Sheldon Kennedy, Dwayne Hay, and Morris Lukowich.

Tuesday, Rockyview County approved $50,000 of funding towards the renovations of the Pete Knight Memorial Arena in Crossfield.

Tickets for the game will run $20 for adults, $10 for youth 12 and under, and seniors. Dinner and dance, for ages 18 and older will run $50. The evening's music and entertainment to be provided by local band JoHikk.
