An elderly couple visiting from Holland that was previously briefly reported missing by Didsbury RCMP has been located safe.

According to Mounties, the couple were previously heading to Water Valley to take photos yesterday afternoon. They informed a friend that their vehicle had become stuck and there was worry for their well-being when they were not heard from after that.

However, the couple managed to find a pump station where they could remain warm for the night and were located by Search and Rescue near Township Road 312 and Range Road 91, West of Hunter Valley Adventures.

Mounties said that when they sent the previous release informing the public of the couple going missing, they received multiple calls from media who wanted to spread the word in order to help find the couple.

"We would like to thank the media for their continued support," RCMP stated.
