Calgary police are asking the public's assistance in helping find Ryan Porterfield,32. Porterfield was last seen in the southwest community of Elboya (Calgary) on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, at approximately 6 A.M.

He last communicated with his family via text message on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, at 8:15 P.M. It is out of character for Porterfield to not be in contact and his family and police are concerned for his wellbeing. 

He was driving a grey 2021 Hyundai Elantra with Alberta licence plate A27489. The vehicle was located unattended north of the Costco in Balzac, on Thursday, March 17th, 2022, at approximately 1:30 A.M.

A comprehensive search has been conducted by members of the RCMP, Calgary Police Service and Calgary Search and Rescue Association over the last couple of days, but Porterfield has yet to be located. Area residents are asked to check their property and to report anything suspicious to the police.  

Porterfield is 6’1” tall and approximately 170 pounds with a slim build. He has blue-green eyes, slicked-back brown hair, and a long beard, along with tattoos on his shoulder, left arm, and a half sleeve on his right arm. He typically wears black Carhartt work pants, a blue Altec work shirt, a black toque, Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, and black Etnies skateboard shoes.
