Airdrie's Jake Neighbours and his Team Alberta team mates have gone through the round robin portion of the WHL Cup in Calgary with a perfect record, but they had to scratch their way through a tough Manitoba squad in their final game to do it.

Yesterday (October 20), Team Alberta won their third straight getting by Manitoba 4 - 3.

Neighbours, the Edmonton Oil Kings first round draft pick in this year's bantam draft and the captain for the Alberta squad, didn't hit the score sheet for the first time in the tournament.

The win gives Alberta, the three time defending WHL Cup champions, first place in the round robin with a 3 and 0 record.

They'll have a rematch against Manitoba in one semi final today while the other has B.C. facing Saskatchewan.

The winners of the two games face off for the gold tomorrow with all games at the Markin MacPhail Arena in Calgary.
