42-year-old Christopher Mah of Red Deer, who was a Nurse Practitioner in Three Hills, Alberta, was arrested and charged on November 19 with sexual assault, extortion, and breach of trust following several months of investigation by the RCMP.

"On July 27, 2022, Three Hills RCMP received a complaint and initiated an investigation regarding an alleged sexual assault. The complainant reported that a Three Hills Nurse Practitioner had sexually assaulted her in exchange for prescription medication and money," an RCMP press release stated.

Mah has been released from custody and will be appearing in Drumheller Provincial court on December 9.

"The Three Hills RCMP would like to thank Southern Alberta General Investigation Section for assisting with the investigation. Three Hills RCMP remains fully committed to building safer communities by working in partnership with our community as well as through investigative and enforcement efforts to achieve this goal."

Three Hills RCMP are continuing their investigation and are asking the public to come forward with any similar type incidents.
