At Thursday's Rocky View Schools board meeting, RVS Superintendent Greg Bass presented trustees with the tendering process in determining which construction company will build Airdrie's new K to 9 school in Williamstown. All construction projects over $100,000 must be tendered in accordance with the School Buildings and Tendering Regulations. Bass explains what happens next:

The lowest bid for the completion of Williamstown school came from Carbon Constructors Inc. at just under $5 million. The total projected cost for the work with everything included is $6.1 million. The board accepted Carbon's bid unanimously and now wait for approval from Alberta Infrastructure. Phase 1 of the school should be completed by August 2012.
