A 32-year-old man from Saskatchewan is dead after falling while climbing Temple Mountain in Banff National Park.

According to police, they received a report of the incident on Friday afternoon that a backcountry skier had fallen while climbing.

 "Canada visitor safety and emergency crews responded to the call and located an adult male deceased from an apparent fall while climbing the Aemmer Couloir," police stated.

Next of Kin Notification has been completed with the deceased’s family in Saskatchewan.

While police continue to investigate, foul play is not suspected.
