Leaders from the worlds of sports, music, media, and government in Alberta have come together in a new video encouraging Albertans to ‘help prevent the spread.’

The video features important public health messages for all Albertans to remember during the COVID-19 pandemic, interspersed with self-recorded clips from leaders from a range of sectors.

“I want to thank all the prominent Albertans who lent their voice to this crucial message. In the face of this global pandemic," says Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw.  "Alberta’s leaders are coming together to raise awareness about how Albertans can help prevent the spread.”

The video feature luminaries like hockey stars Wayne Gretzky, Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers and Mark Giordano of the Calgary Flames, singers Brett Kissel and Paul Brandt, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, former Wildrose Leader and current radio personality Danielle Smith and entrepreneur and Dragons Den star Brett Wilson all urging Albertans to 'help prevent the spread. 

Also starring in the video is Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw.  She says, "I want to thank all the prominent Albertans who lent their voice to this crucial message.
