One of Airdrie's largest events, The 2024 Airdrie Home and Lifestyle will be returning at the end of this month. The show will be taking place April 27 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and April 28 (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.).

"This is the largest trade show in the region, we seek approximately 200 exhibitors throughout the weekend," stated Marilyne Aalhus, Executive Director of the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The show completely takes over Genesis Place's main gym including the soccer field.

"You'll see everything from renovations to outdoor living. A lot of wonderful nonprofits also take part where you can learn more about your community and how to get involved."

Being the third show since taking a break because of COVID-19, this event has been regaining popularity each year.

"Last year was wonderful. People came out in the masses and we just had a lot of fun and got to connect again which is such a great thing for a city of our size."

Once again this year, the show will have a stage in the back corner, which will have all kinds of entertainment including the money tunnel, different types of dancers and performers, and even some animals will be making an appearance.

Aalhus stated the best way to enjoy an event like this is to take your time.

"This isn't your typical trade show you're going to see familiar faces, you're going to get to know new people. It really is the best way to get to know your local businesses and support local."

Admission for the event is $5. Children 12 and under get in for free but must have an adult with them. Thanks to sponsors, the first 100 people each day won't have to pay. The first 250 will each receive a goodie bag.
