On December 10, the Airdrie Thunder's winning streak came to an abrupt end after suffering a 6-3 loss to the Mountainview Colts.

The Colt's Evan Ingram scored five goals over the course of the game, including a 45 second stretch in the second period where he scored three times.

After the game, Thunder head coach Randy Buckle was upset with the team's performance.

"As soon as a little adversity comes our way, we just killed ourselves. We were arguing on the bench. You can't do that. To win a championship you have to have everyone going as a team."

Buckle pulled starting goalie Kade Taplin and inserted Joel Lepper in net following Ingram's hot streak in the hopes that the team would gel together.

"When you pull a goalie, they should look at each other on the bench and go, ok let's do it for [Lepper], or let's get back into the game and help Taplin. It's not that way. It's too many individuals right now and we gotta to get rid of that."

Looking forward, Buckle says the improvements needed are all mental.

"We gotta win. We gotta control ourselves, and right now we just shot ourselves in the foot. Now we gotta go back to work."
