After crushing the High River Flyers on Friday, the Airdrie Thunder's luck took a turn for the worse.

On Saturday, October 8, the Thunder were off to a good start against the Okotoks Bisons but the Bisons held their own, bringing the game into overtime with a score of 6-6.

Neither team was able to score in overtime, resulting in a shoot out where Bisons' forward, Taylor McNeill netted the puck.

On Sunday, The Thunder played hard against the Stettler Lightning this time, managing to bring the game into overtime with just over a minute left in the third period.

The Lightning fought harder however, managing to score a 3-2 overtime win.

The Thunder will look to regroup and hit the ice on the right foot on Friday, as they play the Strathmore Wheatland Kings. Puck drop is set for 8:00 p.m. at the Ron Ebbesen Arena.
