Three of Airdrie's Elite Lightning teams hit the ice last Sunday (December 3rd) in the South Central Alberta Hockey League.

Unfortunately, neither the Peewee Red, Peewee White or Bantam teams could pull away victories over the weekend.

The Peewee Red came out strong with goals from Jaxson Black and Joseph Krukowski, but it wasn't enough as they lost to the Bow Valley Timberwolves 4-2.

Their counterparts, the Peewee White had a tough go against the Medicine Hat Hounds being shut out 6-0.

Despite the loss, goalie Zachary Zahara was solid, making 47 saves.

Finally, the Bantam Lightning were close to grabbing a tie against the Central Alberta Selects. Erik Thoreson scored in the third period to bring the Lightning to within a goal but that's as close as they would get, losing 4-3.

Aidan Doornboss and Hunter Burgeson had the other two goals for the Bantam Lightning in that loss.

The Midget Lightning had the weekend off, but play on Wednesday night (December 6th) against the CRAA Blues at 6:15pm.
