Seven of the ten performances of the National Finals Rodeo have now been completed in Las Vegas and Airdrie's Jake Vold continues to lead the average in bareback, but only by the slimmest of margins.

Last night (December 13) Vold battled a tough Wayne Vold bareback called The Ritz to 83.5 points and a split of 4th/5th/and 6th place on the night.  That means that the Airdrie cowboy will pocket another $7,333 and stay in third place in the world standings with $185,706.  However, he's just over $104,000 behind first place Tim O'Connell who's on cruise control and leading the world standings.

Vold does lead O'Connell in the average on seven head in Las Vegas, but only by one-half point, 598.5 to 598.

Tanner Milan's performance seven steer wrestling run turned into a disaster for the Cochrane cowboy.  The steer ran hard, wouldn't take the fall and finally escaped Milan's desperate efforts to throw him.

The no time dropped Milan to 4th in the average and 10th in the world standings.

For the rest of the night seven results from the NFR go here.
