A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a 19-year-old man who investigators believe may be in the Calgary area.

Dyllan Petrin was arrested and charged in Surrey, BC in July 2019 in connection to an alleged kidnapping and assault.

He was in custody until February 2020, at which time he was released on strict conditions. Petrin was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet, however he removed it on May 28 and has been on the lam since.

A province-wide warrant was issued for him in June, and that has now been extended to cover the entire country.

Police say Petrin has ties to Metro-Vancouver, the Okanagan, as well as connections in the Calgary region.

Petrin is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5’5 tall
  • 126 lbs
  • brown hair
  • brown eyes
  • has a prominent tattoo on the left side of his neck

Anyone with information on Petrin's whereabouts is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or anonymous tips can be provided via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
