In an email to DiscoverAirdrie, GoFundMe confirmed the campaign “The Coleman’s” was created for the family of Amanda Coleman and her baby daughter, Brooklyn, who were killed in the crash near Kathryn. The fundraising appeal reads in part: “We are heartbroken to share that Amanda and her baby daughter, Brooklyn, tragically lost their lives in a car accident last week. This unimaginable loss has left the Coleman‘s devastated and struggling to navigate life without their beloved mother and sister. Amanda was a loving mother and a loyal friend. She was known for her kindness and empathy. “We are creating this fund to help support the family during this heartbreaking time. Donations will go toward funeral expenses, household needs, counselling and ensuring stability and care in the weeks and months ahead. No amount can take away the pain of this loss, but we hope to ease some of the financial burden.” The fundraiser lists Tina Galley Mohl as the organizer, Kaylee Rodgers as the co-organizer, and Karen Coleman as the beneficiary. As of Tuesday morning, the campaign had raised $8,755 of its $18,000 goal from 45 donations, according to the GoFundMe page.
