Tonight's (June 19) City Council meeting will focus on bylaws.

Council will hold a public hearing before giving three readings to a bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw and re-designate 3.2 acres of land in Cooper's Crossing from a low density residential district to a single detached residential district. Council will also give three readings to a bylaw to establish a new Code of Conduct for elected officials and a bylaw to amend the Procedure Bylaw, making provisions for both Notice of Resolution and to deal with some housekeeping matters.

The consent agenda will give the Council an opportunity to ask questions about audited financial statements for both Airdrie Housing Limited and the Library Board. Council will also hear information on booking opportunities with Airdrie schools.

Council will be asked to approve letters of support, one for a grant for the Airdrie Over 50 Club to replace broken tables and chairs, and one for the Airdrie and District Community Foundation's application for a Canada 150 grant that will allow them to buy commemorative banners.

The meeting will start at 6:00pm.
