RCMP say they found a body in a rural area southeast of Airdrie.

Investigators say it’s believed to be that of a missing 19-year-old from Airdrie.

An autopsy still needs to be performed to confirm the identity and cause of death but Mounties say the deceased male is Kalix Langenau who was last seen Saturday in northeast Calgary.

It’s too early to tell if foul play is involved, but RCMP Major Crimes are investigating and will have a better idea of the situation once an autopsy is completed.

No further information will be released pending the autopsy.

Langenau's family has asked for privacy. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family at this difficult time.

Organized by Courtney Bleile, the GoFundMe thanks everyone for the support shown so far.

"We will take this one day at a time as we process this but at this moment the last thing I want his family to worry about is having to even imagine going to work as we move through the next weeks, months and beyond so I am doing this as just that," Bleile writes.
