The City's Fire Chief, Mike Pirie, alerted residents on Wednesday afternoon that the city's fire crews had been on the scene at the Yankee Boulevard Railway crossing.

According to the Chief's social media post fire crews had put out a fire in the vicinity. Initially, the public was asked to avoid the area and give emergency crews room to work.

However, in an update, it was stated that the fire had been put out and crews left the scene.

"It was contained to the locomotive and no hazardous materials were involved."

No other details were provided.
