Mounties said that there are multiple traffic incidents on the QEII between Bowden and Carstairs and they are asking motorists to use caution while driving.
Earlier in the evening, there were several collisions, including an earlier collision heading Southbound on the QEII near Carstairs which shut down parts of the highway for several hours. The scene has since been cleared.
Another collision in Airdrie, on 8th Street just North of the intersection with Railway Avenue was also slowing down afternoon traffic, though that collision has also been cleared.
Airdrie continues to be under a snowfall warning, and highway conditions are expected to be hazardous throughout the evening.
