One of Airdrie's main arteries to partly shut down today

If you are travelling along Main Street today, you will probably notice some construction or experience a little bit of a longer commute.

Starting at 8 a.m. and lasting until 5 p.m., a Main Street Southbound lane will be closed. The closure is to facilitate deep utility repairs.

Some other construction projects happening around the city today include the end of phase one of the partial lane closures of Coopers Avenue and Reynolds Boulevard to facilitate utility tie-ins. Phase two starts June 17.

Today and tomorrow will see some lane closures along 8th Street, Railway Avenue and Mackenzie Way for tree replacements.

The QEII will also see some congestion, which started June 12 and will last till June 17. You will see inside single-lane closures for cable barrier installation along the median.
