If you need a job, this might be your chance to find one. Genesis Place will play host to the Airdrie Youth and Part-Time Job Fair taking place Wednesday, April 10 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

This job fair, which is hosted by Prospect Human Service, BGC Airdrie, The City of Airdrie and the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce will give you a chance to find your first job and also help those in need of part-time work.

Heidi Lane, who works for Prospect Human Service explained the goal of this job fair is to connect local employers with Airdrie locals for their job opportunities.

"For youth, after you graduate and you're getting started in your career a lot of employers are looking for some experience, we want to help bridge that gap a little bit."

"It'd be great if you could show up with multiple copies of your resume, and be ready to have a bunch of conversations."

At the job fair, they will have a table that will help you with your resume if need be, they also will have a few workshops.

"One will be for resume advice to help build your resume and one will be for interviewing which will help you understand how an interview works."

Marilyne Aalhus, Executive Director of the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce, also stated this is a great way to get your foot in the door even if you don't get a job right away.

"It's such a great way for people to come out and get to know local businesses and see what kind of employment is available."
