An open house and pancake breakfast is being held at Rocky View County Hall Thursday morning.

The free event will run rain or shine from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Besides the pancake breakfast, there will be fun activities and entertainment for the family, including games, music, and a petting zoo.

Fire trucks, graders, and equipment will be on display.

STARS Air Ambulance will also make an appearance to unveil the newly emblazoned Rocky View County logo.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Rocky View County was the first municipality in all of central and southern Alberta to reach logo status with STARS by donating more than $500,000 to the air ambulance.

RVC has been supporting STARS since 1991.

“As a rural community, seconds count and STARS is there for us,” says Reeve Greg Boehlke. “In 2018, STARS landed in our region multiple times to provide care for patients in our community. The nature of partnership is clear – helping to safeguard lives.”

The STARS helicopter is scheduled to land at the Rocky View County open house and pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m., weather permitting, for the logo unveiling.
