An earlier collision near Carstairs on the QEII, Southbound, which had partially shut down traffic for a few hours on Thursday evening, has since been cleared.
Despite the collision being cleared, earlier on Thursday, Mounties said that there are multiple traffic incidents on the QEII between Bowden and Carstairs. Police asked motorists to use caution while driving.
Airdrie continues to be under a snowfall warning, and highway conditions are expected to be hazardous throughout the evening.
The QEII, South of Airdrie towards Calgary City limits is reported to be partly covered in snow, with strong winds and icy patches. Northbound towards Carstairs and Crossfield is reported to also be covered in snow.
