Mounties are continuing to search for clues in a homicide case in Rocky View County. The investigation was launched after human remains were discovered earlier this month in a grass fire. The remains of the victim were later identified as a 33-year-old Calgary resident, Kyle Schuiling.

Both the Alberta RCMP's official Facebook and X account (formerly known as Twitter) are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have about the case.

Last week, police said that in consultation with Schuiling's family, they were releasing a photo of the man.

On April 3 at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Tsuut’ina Nation Fire Department responded to the grass fire near Range Road 40 and Township Road 241 in Rocky View County.

"While they were extinguishing the fire, human remains were located. Cochrane RCMP and the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service both attended the location. The Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit was subsequently notified and deployed to take carriage of the investigation,"

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is continuing its investigation
